ABSTRACT landscapes
In graduate school, I took a class called “Painting from the Imagination.” The idea was to drop any references and paint straight from our heads. I hadn’t done much abstract painting before this, but I quickly came to love the freedom it allows. While some of these paintings derive from my memories of real-life landscapes, many are rooted in scenes from literature.
